Psychobilly legend Nekromantix will play two shows in Finland around Easter. The first performance takes place at Nosturi, Helsinki on April 1st and the second one at Pakkahuone, Tampere the next night.

Founded in Denmark but currently based in Los Angeles, Nekromantix are known not only for their music but their horror film aesthetics covered imago. The tailor-made, coffin-shaped double bass of the band’s founder and only remaining original member, vocalist-bassist Kim Nekroman has become Nekromantix’ symbol.

The band have been and continue to be a major influence for psychobilly bands like Tiger Army. Nekromantix’ current line-up consists of Nekroman, guitarist Franc and world’s fastest female drummer awarded Lux. Having recorded for Hellcat Records since 2000, the band’s latest album ”Life is a Grave & I Dig It” was released in 2007. Nekromantix were last seen in Finland in 2002 but frontman Nekroman visited Tavastia a few years ago with his other band Horrorpops.

Tickets cost 35€ +possible handling charge and they will be available at Tiketti and Lippupalvelu from December 21st on. Please note that Nosturi is all ages and Pakkahuone +18. The concerts are organised in co-operation with Hellbilly Crew, Sue magazine and Goofin’ Records record store.
