Feb 03 2012: RED FANG (USA) AND BLACK TUSK (USA) COMING TO HELSINKI
American metal/alternative band Red Fang is finally coming to Finland: In mid-January they were supposed to open for Mastodon in Helsinki and Tampere but during that time they were forced to cancel both shows. Playing classic 70's heavy metal and noisy stoner/alternative rock, Red Fang have been named to be one of the most interesting upcoming new metal bands. Earlier they have been touring with bands like Saint Vitus, Dillinger Escape Plan and The Melvins, and Red Fang's latest album "Murder the Mountains" came out last year.
The night will be opened by another American band Black Tusk who are combining sludge, doom and hardcore punk to "swamp metal". Last year Black Tusk released their fourth studio album "Set the Dial", produced by Jack Endino (Soundgarden, High on Fire).
Both bands are signed to Relapse Records.
