Nov 18 2009: Sister Flo’s AU out November 25

Sister Flo released their third full length ”The Healer” almost three years ago. After the album release tour, the band stopped playing shows and were soon out of the public eye. The members of the band were working on their other projects, vocalist Samae Koskinen, for example, released his sophomore solo album. But there were no news from the Sister Flo front.

In summer 2009, rumours started to get around about Sister Flo again.The band members were repeatedly seen in Turku with Jori Hulkkonen and indeed, one of the most important Finnish indie names had started cooperation with Mr Hulkkonen mainly known from the electronic music scene. Soon it became clear that Jori Hulkkonen was not just a producer but an official, equal member of Sister Flo.

Out on November 25th, ”AU” found its form in Hulkkonen’s alppIVhouz studio through free improvisation and generous editing. Tranquil and atmospherical ”AU” lacks completely those three-minute radio singles and will therefore be have its world premiere in its entirety on Radio Helsinki on November 24th at 10 pm.
