Dec 03 2010: DANISH HARD ROCK GROUP PRETTY MAIDS TO FINLAND

Danish hard rock group Pretty Maids will arrive in Finland next year. The band will perform in Helsinki on February 25 and at Club Teatria in Oulu the following night. Helsinki's venue and ticketing information will be announced later.

Founded in Horsens in 1982 by guitarist Ken Hammer and vocalist Ronnie Atkins, Pretty Maids gained popularity in Europe already with their 1984 release "Red Hot and Heavy" and broke through internationally along with the release of "Future World" in 1987. Even today, the album is considered one of the classic metal albums. Pretty Maids' latest full-length, "Pandemonium" (2010), is the band's first album in four years.

Currently, Pretty Maids are touring Europe and the tour continues next year. The band have previously visited Finland twice only, at Helsinki Ice Hall in 1988 with Deep Purple and at Giants of Rock festival in 1990. The forthcoming shows are organized in co-operation with Imperiumi.net.

Advance tickets to Club Teatria cost 25€ +handling charge and they are available at Tiketti and Lippupalvelu. Tickets at the door cost 30€. More information on the Helsinki show will be announced later.
