Apr 20 2010: REVEREND HORTON HEAT RETURN TO FINLAND
American Reverend Horton Heat will finally return to Finland in summer. Led by The Reverend a.k.a. vocalist/guitarist Jim Heath, the band will perform at Nosturi on July 8.
Founded in Texas in 1985, Reverend Horton Heat combine country, rockabilly and swing and punk influences in a unique, loud way and have earned their place as one of the most established underground acts in the U.S. through intensive gigging. Enjoying worldwide cult success, the band have also had their share of mainstream population - the trio's music can be heard in commercials, film soundtracks and video games. One of their biggest hits "Psychobilly Freakout" is also featured on Guitar Hero 2 game.
Reverend Horton Heat have released ten studio albums during their 25-year career. Their latest album "Laughin' and Cryin' with the Reverend Horton Heat" was released last September. The band were last seen in Finland almost ten years ago at Tavastia.
The 18+ show is organized in co-operation with Hellbilly Crew and Nosturi. Doors open at 7 pm. Tickets cost 25€ +possible handling charge and they will be available at Tiketti and Lippupalvelu on April 22.
