Apr 16 2010: HELSINKI CRUISING CLUB STARTS IN JUNE

Gathering together friends of rock'n'roll, burlesque and beautiful cars, Helsinki Cruising Club will take place at combined Nosturi and Alakerta on every first Friday of the four summer months. The club starts on June 4.
The bill of the first Helsinki Cruising Club has now been confirmed. American rockabilly queen Kim Lenz and guitarist Nick Curran will climb on stage with Finnish rockabilly group The Barnshakers who will also perform their own set during the evening. The frontman of Swedish vampire country band The Coffinshakers, Rob Coffinshaker , will perform a solo set and more rockabilly will be heard from Finnish Mike Bell and The Belltones. Burlesque group The Itty-Bitty Tease Cabaret will celebrate summer in their performances with ice cream, strawberries, rock and itty-bitty bikinis.

Tickets to the first Helsinki Cruising Club cost 20€ +possible handling charge and they will be available at Tiketti and Lippupalvelu from April 19 on. The 18+ event is organized in cooperation with Hellbilly Crew and Nosturi. Doors open at 7 pm.
