Mar 31 2010: THE GRIT (UK) TO PLAY FOUR SHOWS IN FINLAND
Combining punk, psychobilly and ska, British "Punk 'n' Fuck 'n' Roll" band The Grit will arrive in Finland on two different occasions during spring and summer. Famous for their relentless touring, the band first arrive here on April 2nd to open for Nekromantix at Pakkahuone, Tampere and again around Midsummer to perform at On The Rocks, Helsinki and at Midsummer Rock'n'Roll Jamboree in Ellivuori.
Founded in 2002, The Grit began as a straightforward punk rock band but soon started to expand their sound more into psychobilly and ska. As a result, the band sound like a fresh combination of The Clash, The Living End and Rancid. The Grit's latest, third album "Straight out the Alley" was released last year. Over the years, the band have played at major festivals like Glastonbury and Reading and toured with the likes of The Aggrolites and Street Dogs. The forthcoming shows are organized in co-operation with Hellbilly Crew.
