Indie pop's super collective The New Pornographers will finally arrive in Finland in autumn. The group will perform at Tavastia on September 12.
Founded by vocalist/guitarist Carl "A.C." Newman in 1997, The New Pornographers include musicians from modern indie music's A-class and the group is one of Canada's most successful and praised alternative bands along with Arcade Fire. The New Pornographers' members have also succeeded outside the band: Neko Case's solo album "Middle Cyclone" (2009) hit the third spot on Billboard, Dan Bejar is also a member of bands Destroyer and Swan Lake and AC Newman has released two praised solo albums. The New Pornographers' fifth album "Together" is released today on May 4, and it features names like Zach Condon (Beirut), Will Sheff (Okkervil River) and Annie Clark a.k.a. St. Vincent.
Tickets cost 30€ +possible handling charge and they will be available at Tiketti on May 6. Tickets at the door cost 32€.
