Scottish folk musician Alasdair Roberts will support American composer/singer/harpist Joanna Newsom at Kulttuuritalo on May 27.

Roberts formed his first band Appendix Out with his school mates in 1994. He offered their demo to Will Oldham a.k.a. Bonnie 'Prince' Billy and soon signed a recording deal with indie label Drag City. After three albums with varied line-ups, Roberts started to concentrate on his solo career in 2001. The beginning of his solo career also marked a transition from experimental sound to man & guitar expression. Roberts Alasdair has released five solo albums: the latest, "Spoils", was released last year.
