AUSTRALIAN THE DARK SHADOWS TO FINLAND
Drawing from pop and goth, dark edged punk noir group The Dark Shadows will pay their first visit to Finland late spring. The trio will perform at On The Rocks on May 27.
Previously known as Brigitte Handley & The Dark Shadows, the band could be described as a combination of The Clash and Marlene Dietrich and why not The Banshees and 50s sci-fi soundtracks as well! The group's debut album "Darkness Calls" was released last April and their new, yet untitled album is due later this year. The first single of the forthcoming full length will be released to coincide with the start of their European tour.
Hailing from Sydney, The Dark Shadows have a crazy gig spring and summer ahead of them: the trio will tour in the U.S., Europe and Australia and pop in, for example, Japan, too. Previously the band have toured with the likes of The Stray Cats, Marky Ramone, Tiger Army and Meteors.
The stage will be warmed up by Helsinki-based Gun Molls & Gangsters. Tickets cost 8€ +possible handling charge and they are available at Tiketti. Tickets at the door cost 10€.
