American garage punk band Ganglians will pay their first visit to Finland in June. The band will perform at Semifinal, Helsinki on June 14th and at Dynamo, Turku the next night.
Over the last couple of years, Ganglians have joined Girls, Black Lips, Real Estate and Harlem as one of the most praised modern lo-fi garage punk names. The band's latest full length "Monster Head Room" (2009) was acclaimed as "Best New Music" by Pitchfork.
Ganglians' "acid pop", as the band themselves call it, has been described as a crossing of Kinks, 13th Floor Elevators, Beach Boys and Pavement. In addition to the Finnish show, the band will visit, for example, Primavera festival in Barcelona in the end of May.
Tickets to Semifinal cost 8€ +possible handling charge and they are available at Tiketti. Tickets to Dynamo cost 7€ and they are available at Levykauppa Äx, Turku.
