British post punk / industrial / dark goth rock band Killing Joke arrive in Finland for a show in Nosturi on April 29th. Founded over 30 years ago, Killing Joke have influenced bands all the way from Nirvana and Metallica to Nine Inch Nails and domestic Kotiteollisuus. Even if the group never became a stadium-touring mega name, they are indisputably one of the most influential alternative bands of the last few decades.
Killing Joke’s most significant albums include their debut ”Killing Joke” (1980), ”Fire Dances” (1983), blockbuster ”Pandemonium” (1994) and their comeback album after a few years’ hiatus in the mid-90’s, simply called ”Killing Joke” (2003) that featured Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters) on drums. This autumn, Killing Joke signed a worldwide record deal with Finnish Spinefarm Records and the band’s 13th full length will be released next fall.
